Jürgen Hofer was born on 29.9.1970 in Hollabrunn and grew up in the northern Weinviertel. He attended the commercial school in Retz, where his interest in painting already showed. His first exhibition took place already in 1989 in Retz. Numerous exhibitions followed throughout Austria. The focus of his work is on the theme of "wine" in all its facets, on the other hand, he is engaged in portrait painting and photography.

Jürgen Hofer tries with his pictures to make every sip of wine even more palatable. His works penetrate deeply into the "craft" of viticulture and conclude with a good drop of "green".
