Bad Tatzmannsdorf, April 2021.

Finally. The open-air museum Bad Tatzmannsdorf has opened its doors again and takes its visitors back in time. To a time when the ancestors built houses with local building materials and simple handicraft techniques. Each object, whether small or large, tells its own story and gives an idea of how much effort was involved in living in a Burgenland village more than 100 years ago. Information boards on the old wooden block buildings and smaller functional buildings provide information on how people worked, lived and lived.

"For the spa & tourism resort of Bad Tatzmannsdorf, this important cultural treasure represents a very valuable treasure. Especially in the anniversary year of Burgenland, a tour of this open-air museum is a unique opportunity to get to know the history of rural life in Burgenland," says Edi Nicka, who, as curator of the open-air museum, accompanies interested visitors on guided tours through the area with stories and information. You can also switch off, get away from the hardships of the Covid pandemic, enjoy the fresh air and let your mind wander. A visit to the Bad Tatzmannsdorf open-air museum combines all of this.

The open-air museum Bad Tatzmannsdorf is open for visitors all year round. The entrance fee is EUR 2 and visitors can enter the museum independently at any time via a turnstile. Information about the individual buildings is also available on the website:
