Heart rate variability measurement

Intelligent diagnostics for a vital lifestyle

Heart rate variability (HRV) is a meaningful indicator of your physical and mental health. It shows how flexibly your heart reacts to internal and external influences - in other words, how well your body is able to switch between tension and relaxation. The HRV is calculated from the exact intervals between the individual heartbeats. The change in these intervals is a measure of the ability of the autonomic nervous system to regulate itself. The more variable the heartbeat, the healthier the body. The higher the "fire of life" is displayed. Heart rate variability can be measured by means of short-term measurement or

Our evaluation reveals how factors such as exercise, stress, relaxation and sleep affect your overall well-being. This gives you valuable ideas for a more conscious approach to your health - and for a better quality of life in everyday life.

Heart rate variability (HRV) can be measured in two ways: as a short-term measurement or a 24-hour long-term measurement. Both variants provide valuable information - depending on the question and objective.

HRV short-term measurement using Cardioscan

The short-term measurement using Cardioscan carries out a risk check, determines the individual stress level based on heart rate variability (HRV), shows the fitness level and gives individual training pulse recommendations. The user-friendly presentation of the data obtained makes prevention understandable for everyone. Measurements are taken using four electrodes and the results are available in just two minutes. Depending on your training goal, the heart & stress test determines the values you need for professional training management.

The Cardioscan thus provides information about:

  • Resting heart rate
The resting heart rate describes the heart beats per minute during physical rest and relaxation. An increased resting heart rate means permanently more work for the heart and therefore increases the risk of coronary heart disease.

  • Risk check
The risk check provides information on heart function and serves as a risk screening. It shows whether there are deviations in the heart stress measurement compared to reference values.

  • Stress Check
The stress check uses heart rate variability analysis to show the current stress load on the heart. This can be caused by both mental and physical overload.

  • Cardio fit level
The fit level describes the fitness level of your heart. It can have values from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest fit level.

  • Training zones
The individual training heart rates are determined on the basis of the measurement results. These are divided into regenerative training, basic training, development training and peak training.

Measurement requirements and information about Cardioscan

  • Not recommended during pregnancy

HRV long-term measurement - 24 h

For a meaningful analysis of your heart rate variability, we use a 24-hour long-term measurement with a comfortable chest strap and a sensor. It is easy to use - you can go about your day as normal: whether at work, in your free time, during sport or while you sleep.

You wear a belt with a sensor, which is waterproof and heat-resistant - meaning you can also wear the belt in our sauna and wellness area without having to compromise on relaxation.

The measurement starts very simply: the chest strap is put on and connected to the "My Autonom Health" app on your smartphone via Bluetooth. Your data is recorded discreetly and precisely - and provides you with in-depth insights into your physical balance.

The HRV measurement provides the following comprehensive information

  • General vitality
  • Sleep quality
  • Performance potential
  • Regulatory ability (stress tolerance)
  • Regenerative capacity
  • Burn-out risk
  • Physical resilience
  • Mental resilience
  • Functional biological age
