• Award of the V-Label to the REDUCE health resort Bad Tatzmannsdorf

Bad Tatzmannsdorf, 17.10.2024

The gastronomy at REDUCE Gesundheitsresort Bad Tatzmannsdorf has been officially awarded the prestigious V-Label. This award, presented by Felix Hnat, Chairman of the Vegan Society of Austria, recognizes the resort's long-standing commitment to integrating a vegan diet into its culinary concept. Since 2017, vegan cuisine has been an integral part of the resort's health-oriented offering and the REDUCE brand.

ABOUT THE V-LABEL
The V-Label has been labeling vegan and vegetarian products in Austria for 20 years now. Originally from Switzerland, it can now be found all over the world. The label is awarded by various vegan-vegetarian organizations. In Austria, only the Vegan Society Austria awards the V-Label. Did you know that Austria is the country with the highest percentage of vegan and meatless people? You can find all further information here.

VEGAN CUISINE - HERE TO STAY
"We want to arouse interest in plant-based dishes and inspire our guests to cook them. For us, the V-Label is another step towards further strengthening our positioning on health and sustainability. The award of the V-Label confirms our path and motivates us to further expand our range," explains Andreas Leitner, Managing Director of the REDUCE health resort. "For us, healthy eating is not just a trend, but a key component of our holistic health concept. With our vegan cuisine, we offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a conscious and healthy diet without having to compromise on variety and enjoyment."

POSITIVE GUEST FEEDBACKS AS MOTIVATION
The vegan orientation of the resort is enthusiastically received by guests. Numerous reviews on hotel portals praise the vegan food in particular, from breakfast to the 5-course evening menu at the Reduce Hotel Vital ****S and Reduce Hotel Thermal ****S. And more and more guests are also opting for a cure or GVA (Gesundheitsvorsorge Aktiv) in spa hotels because of the vegan offer. The awarding of the vegan label is not the end, but the beginning of an even stronger focus on conscious nutrition and sustainability. Markus Leitgeb, F&B Manager of the Reduce health resort, explains: "We are observing the growing demand from our guests for healthy, sustainable food. We are constantly developing this offer with passion and creativity according to their preferences."

MEAT CONSUMPTION ON THE DECLINE
"According to the EU Smart Protein Project, Austria is the European champion in the number of vegan and vegetarian people - a total of 10% do without meat. Last year alone, meat consumption per person fell by 1.7 kg per year. I am therefore all the more pleased that Austria now has the first spa resort in Europe with V-Label certification. Both the REDUCE spa hotels and the two REDUCE 4*S thermal spa hotels are also real role models." emphasizes Felix Hnat, Chairman of the Vegan Society of Austria.

VEGAN AND HEALTH AWARENESS - HAND IN HAND
The resort's commitment to a vegan diet is in line with the hotel's health standards. "Veganism and an awareness of a healthy lifestyle go hand in hand. A balanced plant-based diet not only supports well-being, but is also an important element in the prevention of many diseases," explains Andreas Leitner. The culinary offering at the resort sees vegan food as a way of offering guests not only enjoyment, but also added health benefits. Guests will find the vegan selection of dishes creatively prepared at every meal as an inspiring alternative to traditional cuisine.
