Dr. med. Edmira Bekto is a specialist in internal medicine and also a passionate general practitioner. Since January she has taken up her medical activity in a newly moved ordination of the REDUCE medical center. Her medical services can be bookable in modules and include, among other things, a detailed medical history, clinical examination with laboratory, ultrasound of the internal organs, resting ECG and examination of the lung function. Depending on requirements, the examination can be even more intensive and additional services can be added. Aeromedical examiners - there are currently sixty medical professionals holding this license in Austria - play an essential role in aviation safety and are responsible for the physical and mental fitness assessment. They authorize a pilot, air traffic controller or flight attendant to exercise his or her privileges and rights associated with the license by issuing a corresponding medical certificate.

Working as an aeromedical expert requires special knowledge of the extraordinary conditions to which the human organism is exposed during a flight.
