We preserve our natural remedies for future generations and focus on climate protection through ecological work processes and sensitizing our employees. Our energy supply is based on regional biomass and solar energy.

Our philosophy is closely tied to Bad Tatzmannsdorf and its natural treasures. For as long as anyone can remember, three special healing remedieshave been at work here: naturally carbonated healing water, thermal water, and anti-inflammatory therapeutic peat. They form the natural foundation of the REDUCE Health Resort and combine the primal power of nature with modern health expertise.

A piece of history

1620: If your heart is full of joy, your mouth will water. This may well have been the case for the Protestant preacher Johannes Mühlberger when, in 1620, he preached a sermon at the inauguration of an acidulous well "in the manor house at Jormannsdorf" in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, in which he eloquently praised the benefits of the healing waters and, in the same breath as Jesus Christ, extolled them as a source of salvation. One year later, the sermon was printed in the "Regensburg Chronicle" - in the document that is today considered the birth certificate of the spa Bad Tatzmannsdorf

1650 - 1752: From 1650 onwards, ornate spa and guest houses were rapidly built, "Chyrurg und Wundarzt" Johannes Rauch became the first spa doctor in Bad Tatzmannsdorf. In 1752 Count Ludwig Batthyàny acquired the facilities and vigorously promoted further development.

1918: As early as 1918, the Kurbad Tatzmannsdorf AG was established for the first time out of the Batthyany fortune, which had perished in the turmoil of the First World War.

1921 - 1945: In 1921 Burgenland falls to Austria, the Batthyànys sell to a Kurbad Tatzmannsdorf AG, and only hesitantly a new upswing sets in. The reputation as a women's and heart spa spreads. But when from 1938 the Reichsgau Steiermark takes over the operation and leaves it to the German Wehrmacht, this chapter of the local history finally ends in 1945 with the almost complete destruction of the spa facilities.

1945 - 1953: The Restitution Act passed by the National Council after 1945 made it possible to think about restoration. The re-establishment of the Kurbad Tatzmannsdorf AG took place on June 10, 1953.

1954 - 1990: In the years from 1954 to 1990, the spa aspect, through the extraction and development of our "three treasures", became more and more important. In addition to many additions and conversions, such as the Kurmittelhaus and the spa hotels, the REDUCE open-air museum and the spa museum were also created.

2003: In 2003 we celebrated 50 years of Kurbad Tatzmannsdorf AG. At the same time the opening of the spa hotels, today REDUCE Hotel Thermal ****S and REDUCE Vital ****S, as well as the reopening of the former Parkhotel took place.

2017 - today: In 2017, the entire spa with all associated hotels is renamed to the umbrella brand REDUCE Gesundheitsresort Bad Tatzmannsdorf, the spa medical offer was also expanded specifically for health vacations. In 2018, the new REDUCE Kultursaal was ceremoniously opened, which is now a venue for numerous events. In autumn 2019 in the presence of the local population, many guests of honor and numerous hotel guests, the completely renewed and modernized REDUCE Kurmittelhaus was opened, which is the heart of the resort and for the time being represents the last chapter of the place.
