Award for Moorochsenwirt of the Year

On Tuesday, the DAZUMAL restaurant at REDUCE in Bad Tatzmannsdorf was officially awarded the title "Moorochsenwirt of the Year 2025." The ceremonial presentation of the certificate and honorary plaque took place in the cozy atmosphere of the DAZUMAL and open-air museum. The award is presented annually by the "Rinderweide am Zickentaler Moor" association to restaurants that promote and appreciate the Zickentaler Moorochsen®.

 
Regional cuisine as a special experience
Chairman Werner Sinkovics emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and the appreciation of quality and sustainable agriculture. Organizer Dr. Jürgen Frank presented the Zickental Moorochsen as a nationally recognized showcase project: since 2003, the initiative has combined nature conservation, species-appropriate animal husbandry, and regional value creation. A strictly limited number of Angus oxen are kept on around 120 hectares of pasture land—a prerequisite for quality, animal welfare, and the protection of the largest lowland moor in the Pannonian region.

With the presentation of the certificate and the honorary plaque, the DAZUMAL was officially accepted into the circle of businesses that serve as ambassadors for the Moorochsen concept. "The Moorochsenwirt of the Year 2025 award is a special recognition of our commitment to regionality, quality, and sustainable agriculture," emphasizes Andreas Leitner, managing director of Reduce Bad Tatzmannsdorf. "With our DAZUMAL , we not only want to convey enjoyment, but also make our regional agriculture visible."
