Free public transportation with the Burgenland Card

With the Burgenland Card, our holiday guests enjoy free travel by bus and train within Burgenland. Also included are the BAST (Burgenland shared taxi service), the South Burgenland–Graz line (B2), and, effective immediately, free travel from Vienna (B01) to South Burgenland and Wiener Neustadt (B9) to South Burgenland.*

Vienna

Your journey to and from Vienna on bus line B01 is free of charge for guests staying at the REDUCE Vital and REDUCE Thermal with the Burgenland Card. If you would like to use this service, please let us know in advance so that we can send you the card digitally.

Your journey could look like this:

  • 09:25: Line "B01" from Vienna Karlsplatz
  • 11:09 am: Arrival Oberwart main square
  • 11:18 a.m.: Line "B2" in the direction of Bad Tatzmannsdorf
  • 11:28 am: Arrival Bad Tatzmannsdorf "Evangelical Church"
  • Only a few minutes' walk to the REDUCE health resort

Graz

The B2 bus line will take you to Bad Tatzmannsdorf in two hours without having to change buses—and it's free with the Burgenland Card (tourist ticket).

Your journey could look like this:

  • 09:45: Bus "B2" from Graz main station (Europaplatz)
  • 11:28 am: Arrival Bad Tatzmannsdorf "Evangelical Church"
  • Only a few minutes' walk to the REDUCE health resort.

Shared cab Vienna - Bad Tatzmannsdorf - Vienna

The shared taxi service provided by SODL will take you from Vienna (directly from your home) to Bad Tatzmannsdorf, dropping you off right at the hotel door, and back again, three days a week at specific times:

  • Travel days: Tuesday , Wednesday, and Thursday (other days available upon request)
  • Pick-up from Vienna to Bad Tatzmannsdorf: 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Whether you need a connection from or to a bus stop or for trips within Burgenland during your stay - the Burgenland Call Shared Taxi (BAST) is a convenient and uncomplicated way to discover the region and get from A to B in comfort. The BAST improves the accessibility of the municipalities and closes gaps in the public transport network - it only runs when there is no scheduled public transport (bus or train) available at a certain time.

How the BAST works
1. plan your journey:

The 24/7 hotline +43 800 500 805 provides you with personal information about your planned route around the clock - including connections with BAST and bus.

Book 2nd trip:

  • By telephone via the BAST hotline +43 800 500 805
  • The booking must be made at least 60 minutes before the desired departure time
  • Trips can also be booked up to 30 days in advance - ideal for your vacation plan!
  • Please have the following information ready: 
    • Name and telephone number
    • Start and destination address
    • Desired departure time
    • Number of passengers

3. board & arrive relaxed:

  • Please arrive in good time at the agreed BAST stop.
  • As other passengers are also boarding, punctuality is important.
  • You will receive your ticket directly in the vehicle - payable in cash or by card.

Good to know:

  • BAST stop right next to us: 
    • "501001 - Bad Tatzmannsdorf - Kurhotel"
  • The BAST also travels to stations and stops outside Burgenland, e.g. Friedberg, Bucklige Welt, Fürstenfeld, Fehring and others.
  • Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 03:30 - 20:30
  • The BAST operates on routes where no bus or train connection is available within 30 minutes before or after your desired time.
  • Minimum transport length: 2 kilometers
  • Maximum transport length: 30 kilometers
  • Travel free of charge with:
    Burgenland Card - tourist ticket (only within Burgenland)*
    Climate ticket (valid for BAST connections within the area of validity)

Nearest highway exits (A2 Südautobahn):

  • From southern Austria: Exit Lafnitztal - Oberwart
  • From Vienna: Exit Pinggau - Friedberg or Pinkafeld

Parking facilities: Parking spaces are available at all our hotels.
Barrier-free parking spaces are clearly marked at all our hotels. For those arriving at the Kurmittelhaus, you will find barrier-free spaces in the parking lot in front of the Kurhotel II.
